Hood Stop Buffer is a hood-area component on the Volvo that keeps the hood aligned, closed or supported. Genuine Volvo part number 80000489.
Latch and hinge wear shows up as a hood that sits high on one side, needs a drop to close, or vibrates at speed. Hoods are body-style and model-year specific; a facelift usually changes the panel shape.
Align the panel at the hinges and the latch before paint so the gaps are set on bare metal.
