Hoods ship in a raw or primed finish, so paint is part of the job. Option-specific items are hood vents, scoops, insulation mounting studs and, on some models, pedestrian-protection hinges that must be replaced rather than reused after an impact. Set the shut lines at the hinges and the latch on bare metal, then finish with cavity wax inside the frame.
