Windshield closes an opening in the Volvo body and, on modern cars, contributes to the stiffness of the shell. Genuine Volvo part number 31402266.
Glass fails by chipping, cracking or delaminating at the edge, and once a crack reaches the edge it will not stop growing with temperature cycling. Glazing is body-style and option specific — check for rain sensors, heated zones, acoustic laminate and antennae in the glass.
Check the surrounding trim and clips at the same time, as they are usually renewed with the glass.
Windshields Windshield replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
