Glass fails by chipping, cracking or delaminating at the edge, and once a crack reaches the edge it will not stop growing with temperature cycling. Confirm whether the glass is fixed or movable; the two use different bonding and different channels.
Check the surrounding trim and clips at the same time, as they are usually renewed with the glass.
