Hood Stop Buffer is part of the hood assembly on your Nissan, either the panel itself or the hardware that holds and latches it. Genuine Nissan part number 84840-2L700.
A hood that will not stay up or will not release is a safety item, not just a convenience one. Check whether the original has hood-vent cut-outs, insulation mounts or a scoop provision.
Align the panel at the hinges and the latch before paint so the gaps are set on bare metal.
