Glove Box Latch – Volvo (8684577)

Glove Box Latch is fitted to the Volvo door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Volvo part number 8684577.

The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.

Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
