Door Check is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 77980-L2000.
Broken returns springs, stretched cables and worn pivots show up as a handle with no resistance or a door that needs a slam. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
