Deck Lid Handle is part of the tailgate or trunk assembly on your Volvo, closing out the rear opening and carrying the seal. Genuine Volvo part number 39855520.
Power liftgate mechanisms fail at the spindle or the latch, which shows up as a gate that opens part-way or refuses to latch. Body-style specific: sedan trunk lids and hatch liftgates share nothing, and wagon gates differ again.
Renew the perimeter seal when the panel is replaced — a reused seal is the usual cause of a leak after repair.
Trunk & Liftgate Deck Lid Handle replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
