Assist Strap is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 85340-D4200ED.
Broken returns springs, stretched cables and worn pivots show up as a handle with no resistance or a door that needs a slam. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
Door Check Straps Assist Strap replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
