Assist Strap mounts inside the Kia door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Kia part number 85340-3C20087.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Check Straps Assist Strap replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
