Assist Strap – Kia (85340-2S010ED)

Assist Strap is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number 85340-2S010ED.

The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.

Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
