Windshield Pillar Trim Cap is the cabin-side trim on the Volvo that you actually touch every time you get in and out. Genuine Volvo part number 39830528.
Interior panels fail at the mounting clips rather than the panel itself, so a trim that rattles, gapes or drops at one corner usually needs new clips and a sound panel. Trim panels are handed and trim-level specific — a panel for a car with a manual window has no switch cut-out.
Work the clips in from the top edge downward and check the window seal before final seating.
