Window Molding – Driver’s Side (LH) is the exterior trim strip on the Volvo that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Volvo part number 31424049. This listing is for the left-hand (driver side on US models) part.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Length and clip spacing differ between sedan, hatch and wagon bodies even where the model name is the same.
Supplied ready to fit; the original clips are usually brittle and should be renewed at the same time.
