Upper Molding is the exterior trim strip on the Kia that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Kia part number 877F1 R5300.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
Pre-fit the strip dry before removing the adhesive backing so the end gaps line up.
