Upper Molding is the exterior trim strip on the Kia that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Kia part number 87131D4000.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Fits 2016-2020 Kia Optima as listed. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
Supplied ready to fit; the original clips are usually brittle and should be renewed at the same time.
