Splash Shield is the panel around the Mazda wheel opening that carries the arch line and shields the inner structure. Genuine Mazda part number zzca56141.
Impact damage from a wheel strike or a minor collision distorts the panel and breaks the liner mounts, which then lets water into the cavity. Check whether the original panel has an aerial hole, a side-repeater cut-out or a cladding mounting provision.
Supplied in a raw or primed finish and must be painted before installation.
