Splash Shield is the body panel that frames the wheel arch on your Mazda and closes the gap between the door, hood and bumper. Genuine Mazda part number va40561h1b.
Impact damage from a wheel strike or a minor collision distorts the panel and breaks the liner mounts, which then lets water into the cavity. Model year facelifts often change the arch profile even where the door and hood are unchanged.
Trial-fit the panel before paint so any adjustment at the door gap is done on bare metal.
Wheelhouse & Liners Splash Shield replacement for Mazda. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
