Splash Shield is the panel around the Mazda wheel opening that carries the arch line and shields the inner structure. Genuine Mazda part number GEG1-56-1Z1.
Because the arch traps mud and salt, a panel that looks sound can be structurally thin behind the lip. Panels are handed and body-style specific; confirm the side and whether the car is a sedan, coupe or wagon.
