Splash Shield is the panel around the Kia wheel opening that carries the arch line and shields the inner structure. Genuine Kia part number 58245-BY400.
Because the arch traps mud and salt, a panel that looks sound can be structurally thin behind the lip. Model year facelifts often change the arch profile even where the door and hood are unchanged.
Trial-fit the panel before paint so any adjustment at the door gap is done on bare metal.
Wheelhouse & Liners Splash Shield replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
