Splash Shield forms the wheel-arch structure on the Kia, protecting the tyre cavity from road spray and debris. Genuine Kia part number 58243-CU100.
Impact damage from a wheel strike or a minor collision distorts the panel and breaks the liner mounts, which then lets water into the cavity. Model year facelifts often change the arch profile even where the door and hood are unchanged.
Seam sealer and cavity wax are required along the inner joints after fitting to keep corrosion out.
Wheelhouse & Liners Splash Shield replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
