Side Molding – Volvo (39836870)

Side Molding sits on the Volvo body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Volvo part number 39836870.

Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.

If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
