Side Molding sits on the Volvo body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Volvo part number 31420389.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Trim is side-specific — a left-hand strip will not fit the right-hand side of the same car. Confirm the side before ordering.
Pre-fit the strip dry before removing the adhesive backing so the end gaps line up.
