Roof Panel is a body fitting on the Volvo that the exterior panels and trim depend on to stay located. Genuine Volvo part number 80028995.
Once the fitting fails the surrounding parts work loose and start to chafe, so replacing the small part early prevents damage to the panel it holds. Match by part number — body hardware is dimension-critical and a 1 mm difference in shank or reach is enough to stop it seating.
Order the surrounding clips at the same time, since the originals generally break when the panel is removed.
