Rocker Panel is the exterior trim strip on the Mazda that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Mazda part number BCJH-53-950B.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
