Rocker Panel Guard is the exterior trim strip on the Mazda that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Mazda part number ec0351pp0e96.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Trim is side-specific — a left-hand strip will not fit the right-hand side of the same car. Confirm the side before ordering.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
