Release Handle is part of the door assembly on your Nissan and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Nissan part number 65622-9HT0A.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Handles Release Handle replacement for Nissan. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
