Quarter Panel Extension is one of the small body fittings on your Nissan that hold trim, panels and seals in place. Genuine Nissan part number 781E7-4CC0A.
Once the fitting fails the surrounding parts work loose and start to chafe, so replacing the small part early prevents damage to the panel it holds. Check quantity on the listing: some fittings are sold individually and a full panel needs several.
No finishing required; fit directly.
