Quarter Panel Extension is a body fitting on the Mazda that the exterior panels and trim depend on to stay located. Genuine Mazda part number nc1070112a.
Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Fits 1999-2005 Mazda Miata as listed. Check quantity on the listing: some fittings are sold individually and a full panel needs several.
Do not over-torque these fittings — the plastic or thin-gauge body panel strips before the fitting does.
