Outer Molding runs along the body side of your Kia, protecting the door and quarter panels from trolley dings and closing the gap between panels. Genuine Kia part number 86594-S9200.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Length and clip spacing differ between sedan, hatch and wagon bodies even where the model name is the same.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
