Mirror Cover forms part of the exterior mirror on the Mazda and either carries the glass or houses the mirror mechanism. Genuine Mazda part number tk48691n7a6d.
Mirror damage is almost always impact-related — a clipped pillar, a tight garage or a car wash — and the housing cracks while the mechanism survives. A mirror with a turn-signal repeater has a different wiring connector from a plain one, even though the housing looks the same.
Test the adjustment and fold functions before refitting the door trim.
