Heated glass delaminates and the mirror motor strips its gears, so a mirror that will not adjust or will not clear usually needs this part rather than the whole assembly. A mirror with a turn-signal repeater has a different wiring connector from a plain one, even though the housing looks the same.
Glass is supplied ready to fit; take care not to touch the reflective surface when seating it.
