Mirror Base is the Volvo door mirror part that takes the brunt of kerb strikes and car-wash brushes. Genuine Volvo part number 31424820.
Heated glass delaminates and the mirror motor strips its gears, so a mirror that will not adjust or will not clear usually needs this part rather than the whole assembly. Mirrors are handed and often model-year specific; confirm the side and whether the car has power-fold, heating or a camera.
Glass is supplied ready to fit; take care not to touch the reflective surface when seating it.
Mirror Assemblies Mirror Base replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
