Lower Hinge – Kia (79350-2G000)

Lower Hinge is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number 79350-2G000.

Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Fits 2006-2010 Kia Optima as listed. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.

Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
