Lower Hinge is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number 79330-3E000.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Fits 2003-2009 Kia Sorento as listed. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Hinges Lower Hinge replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
