Latch mounts inside the Volvo door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Volvo part number 39832439.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Door hardware is handed — left and right are different parts. Check the side marked on the listing against the door you are repairing.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
Door Latches Latch replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
