Latch is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 81230-A7010.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
Access is from inside the door, so removing the trim panel is part of the job — order new panel clips if the originals are brittle.
Door Latches Latch replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
