Latch is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 81130 S9000.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
Door Latches Latch replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
