Latch is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number 81130-D4010.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Door hardware is handed — left and right are different parts. Check the side marked on the listing against the door you are repairing.
Access is from inside the door, so removing the trim panel is part of the job — order new panel clips if the originals are brittle.
Door Latches Latch replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
