Instrument Panel Molding is the interior trim panel that finishes the inside of your Volvo door or quarter area and hides the metal structure behind it. Genuine Volvo part number 32277142.
Sun exposure through the glass makes the plastic brittle and shrinks the vinyl, which is why the top edge lifts and the clip towers crack. Trim panels are handed and trim-level specific — a panel for a car with a manual window has no switch cut-out.
Work the clips in from the top edge downward and check the window seal before final seating.
