Inner Hinge Pillar is the exterior trim strip on the Kia that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Kia part number 71201-L2000.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
Supplied ready to fit; the original clips are usually brittle and should be renewed at the same time.
