Hood Release Handle mounts inside the Mazda door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Mazda part number ec0156625a.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Fits 2001-2006 Mazda Tribute as listed. Door hardware is handed — left and right are different parts. Check the side marked on the listing against the door you are repairing.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
Door Handles Hood Release Handle replacement for Mazda. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
