Hood Panel is one of the small body fittings on your Mazda that hold trim, panels and seals in place. Genuine Mazda part number bdy05231xb.
Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Confirm the model and year range on the listing; the same fitting is often used across several models but not across every year.
Do not over-torque these fittings — the plastic or thin-gauge body panel strips before the fitting does.
Panels & Extensions Hood Panel replacement for Mazda. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
