Hinge Cover is a body fitting on the Kia that the exterior panels and trim depend on to stay located. Genuine Kia part number 81285-28000.
Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Fits 2004-2009 Kia Spectra as listed. Confirm the model and year range on the listing; the same fitting is often used across several models but not across every year.
Do not over-torque these fittings — the plastic or thin-gauge body panel strips before the fitting does.
Caps & Plugs Hinge Cover replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
