Handle, Inside – Passenger Side (RH) mounts inside the Volvo door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Volvo part number 39820883. This listing is for the right-hand (passenger side on US models) part.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Handles Handle, Inside – Passenger Side (RH) replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
