Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Match by part number — body hardware is dimension-critical and a 1 mm difference in shank or reach is enough to stop it seating.
Order the surrounding clips at the same time, since the originals generally break when the panel is removed.
