Handle Base is a body fitting on the Kia that the exterior panels and trim depend on to stay located. Genuine Kia part number 82655-Q5500.
Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Check quantity on the listing: some fittings are sold individually and a full panel needs several.
Do not over-torque these fittings — the plastic or thin-gauge body panel strips before the fitting does.
Interior Hardware Handle Base replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
