Handle Base is a body fitting on the Kia that the exterior panels and trim depend on to stay located. Genuine Kia part number 82655-P1000.
Original fittings become brittle with age and heat cycles, which is why a clip that held for ten years snaps the first time it is disturbed. Match by part number — body hardware is dimension-critical and a 1 mm difference in shank or reach is enough to stop it seating.
Order the surrounding clips at the same time, since the originals generally break when the panel is removed.
Interior Hardware Handle Base replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
