Folding Seat Latch is part of the door assembly on your Volvo and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Volvo part number 31467646.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Latches Folding Seat Latch replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
