Fender Splash Shield is the panel around the Volvo wheel opening that carries the arch line and shields the inner structure. Genuine Volvo part number 30678143.
Because the arch traps mud and salt, a panel that looks sound can be structurally thin behind the lip. Check whether the original panel has an aerial hole, a side-repeater cut-out or a cladding mounting provision.
Seam sealer and cavity wax are required along the inner joints after fitting to keep corrosion out.
