Door Trim Panel Cap is an interior cabin panel on the Volvo that covers the door frame and carries the switchgear, speaker or handle. Genuine Volvo part number 9420735.
Sun exposure through the glass makes the plastic brittle and shrinks the vinyl, which is why the top edge lifts and the clip towers crack. Trim panels are handed and trim-level specific — a panel for a car with a manual window has no switch cut-out.
Order the panel clips with the trim — the originals almost always break on removal.
